Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND): Candidates must have completed SSCE / GCE O' Level / NECO or its equivalent with ordinary passes in English Language and Mathemathics and other three subjects chosen from:- (i) Biology / Agricultural Science (ii) Chemistry (iii) Physics (iv) Geography (v) Economics (vi) Further Mathematics. The Duration is one academic year, comprising of two semesters.
National Diploma (Fisheries Technology): Application with one of the following qualifications may be considered for admission into the National Diploma programme (Fisheries Technology) by direct entry:- (a) General Certificate Education (GCE) ordinary level, Senior Secondary School Certificate, Teachers Grade II Certificate or West African School Certificate with credit passes in four subjects relevant to the programme at not more than two sittings. The subjects include the following:- Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any two of the following subjects: Geography, Mathematics , Economics, Physics and Statistics. At least a pass in English Language and Mathematics / Statistics is mandatory for all applicants. (ii) Four credit passes in a relevant subjects obtained at final examination of an NBTE recognize preliminary ND programmed offered in a College of Agriculture or similar post secondary technical institutes. Such students must have passes in Biology / Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language at WASC, SSCE, or GCE 'O' Level before undertaking the course.
Higher National Diploma (Fisheries Technology): The entry qualifications into Higher National Diploma (Fisheries Technology) is at least a Lower Credit pass in National Diploma( Fisheries Technology) obtained from the Federal College of Freshwater Fisheries Technology (FCCFT), Baga or any accredited Tertiary Institution. Candidate is, in addition required, to have undergone at least one-year relevant industrial experience.
Vocational Training: (Candidates must have GCE O-Level / SSCE / NECO or its equivalent certificate with ordinary passes in three subjects at not more than two sittings. The subjects include the following:- Biology / Agricultural Science / Health Science, Chemistery, Economics, Further Mathematics and English.) for the unlisted programmes:
(i) Fish Farming and Fingerling production.
(ii) Fish feed production.
(iii) Post-Harvest Technology for Women in Fisheries.
(iv) Fish marketing and transportation.
(v) Bread Making and Bakery Technology / Confectionery.
