Dr Bako Mallam Modu, is the first indigenous product of this great College to became the provost of the Institution, Federal College of Freshwater Fisheries Technology Baga. About The College

The Federal College of Freshwater Fisheries Technology (FCFFT) Baga is located in Baga, Kukawa Local Government, about 210km north east of Maiduguri Borno state. It lies in the Sahel region of Nigeria which is characterized by very low yearly rainfall of less than 400mm and extreme weather conditions. Lake Chad which is one of the largest natural inland lakes in the world is located in this region. The Lake is highly productive but was characterized by irrational exploitation, lack of adequate knowledge of harvesting of stock, preservation; processing and storage further necessitating the establishment of the College along its shores in 1977......Read More
